Flip the mental model: start from the setting, not the branch. The left sidebar lists setting categories. The main area shows that setting across ALL branches in a comparison matrix. You can see differences at a glance and edit in-place or in bulk. Think "spreadsheet of settings across locations."

Pro: Instantly see which branches differ — perfect for auditing compliance
Pro: Bulk editing is native — select branches in the matrix, edit once
Pro: Great for operators managing 50+ locations ("show me all break rules")
Con: Loses the "complete view of one branch" — settings are spread across pages
Con: Some settings are complex (onboarding docs, shift types) and don't fit a table cell
